RESOURCES FOR FURTHER COLOUR STUDY

Resources for further Colour Study.  If you have not researched art and artists before you may just use a popular search engine.  The search engine algorithm can produce strange results that definitely might not give you the best quality art.  This is really important because whatever stage you are at, even if you are a complete beginner, when you learn, you want to learn from the best.  Otherwise, you are simply learning poor quality information rather than simple information.  It doesn’t matter that you might feel art is beyond you or you don’t fully understand.  That will always be the case for all of us.  Just try to learn one simple thing from what you are looking at.   In my own art journey, I have found that as time progresses I see more in each painting.  When I look at paintings, I understand more than I did several years ago.  Each time I see artwork one new thing might register about how the artist has worked.  There is a lesson on the Course all about learning to ‘See more and See Better’.  Seeing is a skill we gradually learn, the more we do it.

You might enjoy this video on You Tube by the artist Sargy mann.  He was going to give a TED talk on the subject of Seeing More but sadly died before he could give it. It contains some bad language, so don’t watch if you will be offended buy this.  SARGY MANN TED TALK
